Last week I spent a good part of the week at a conference on the shores of Lake Michigan. I am on the board of World Renew and we gathered for the 5th Assembly of Global Partners, bringing together a broad cross-section of stakeholders to share stories and do some strategic planning for the future. World Renew engages in development and disaster relief work worldwide. Many of our discussions were on the subject of justice and what it might look like for World Renew to expand its role to address the systemic causes of poverty and oppression. It was a great week, celebrating what God is doing through WR. Welcome to Jason deBoer who now joins our board. And somewhere along the way I think I promised to visit Kenya sometime!
