Ecce Homo, Behold the Man. A well-intentioned, elderly woman "restored" the fresco, with unfortunate results (google it to see her handiwork). Pilate spoke those words, intending to ridicule both Jesus and the Jewish people. But God had other plans. He took something ugly and made it into something beautiful.
